The new Vikram Aur Betaal will air on Sunday mornings as a part of the Colors ki Sundaywali Subah- Family Ki Subah package. The series presents all these stories one by one. Each story ends with a witty question for Vikramaditya that he has to answer correctly. It consists of stories told to the wise King Vikramaditya by a wily ghost Betaal. The fantasy drama is based on ' Betaal Pachisi' - written nearly 2,500 years ago by Mahakavi Somdev Bhatt. The show was first aired in 1985 and was produced by Sagar Arts.
According to the show's producers it has been redone keeping in mind sensibilities and standards of the youth. Vikram Aur Betaal - a popular TV series of the 80s has been revamped with modern computer graphics and special effects in order to appeal to younger audiences.
